The Faculty of Science and Technology combines innovative education with applied research and draws on researchers across the university, external institutions and industry partners to work together on projects solving the global challenges in science and technology.
Our School of Information Technology was established as Australia´s first dedicated IT school in 1983 and is nationally renowned as a superior educator of IT professionals. QUT has the largest number of students studying Information Technology in Queensland, with our graduates boasting Queensland´s highest average starting salaries. The Faculty of Science and Technology offers a range of coursework and research programs designed to develop and advance your proficiency in science and technology. The Faculty of Science and Technology has almost 5000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Faculty facilities include sophisticated scientific and computing laboratories and state–of–the–art multimedia lecture theatres. We are located at QUT´s Gardens Point campus in Brisbane´s city centre, nestled between the Brisbane River, Parliament House and the City Botanic Gardens.
